The Life of the Church

Pastor Mel Svendsen

As we delve into the birth and early growth of the church in Acts 2, we're reminded of the transformative power of an uncompromising commitment to God's Word. The early believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. This devotion led to awe-inspiring growth and unity. We're challenged to examine our own devotion - are we as committed to understanding and living out God's Word? The early church's example of generosity, sharing possessions, and meeting each other's needs paints a beautiful picture of Christian community. It prompts us to consider how we can foster such deep fellowship in our own church families. As we reflect on this, let's ask ourselves: How can we cultivate a similar sense of awe and devotion in our own spiritual lives? How might our church grow if we embraced this level of commitment and generosity?
