What is Family Element?

Family Element is our version of Vacation Bible School, but for the WHOLE family! This year's theme for the Children's Program is - Outback Rock - Where Kids Venture Into Solid Faith. Each night they will hear Biblical Teaching, Play Games, Make Crafts, and so much more. The Children's program is available for Nursery through Junior High Students.  Our High School Students are invited to serve as a Student Leader.
Our Adult Program runs at the same time as the Children's Program, in the main worship center. This year we have our very own Pastor Ben Mechler, who will be teaching on Biblical Parenting. 

How Does It Work Each Night? 

Upon arriving everyone is invited to enjoy dinner on the lawn with their families. Bring a blanket for a picnic and/or  lawn chairs to gather around. There will also be some shared seating available.  After dinner, both programs will begin around 6:25pm. Children will be dropped off downstairs and the parents will remain in the main worship center. Once the programs is over each night, the parents will meet their kids downstairs for pick up. (not including Nursery pickup - upstairs) 

How Much Does It Cost?

Family Element is a great family deal for the entire week.  The cost for early registration is $10 per person, with a maximum of $40 per family.  After June 2nd, the price will increase to $15 per person, with a maximum of $60. So you'll want to make sure you sign up early to lock in the best pricing.  This price includes dinner for the whole family each night!!

Ben Mechler

Ben Mechler is the pastor of biblical counseling at Riverview church. He is passionate about the transformative power of the Word of God and our Christian calling to walk in all the ways of the Lord. Ben is privileged to minister in both the private counseling setting as well as the public teaching of Scripture. Pastor Ben achieved his Master's degree in Bible Exposition from Talbot School of Theology and he is a certified biblical counselor.

Pastor Ben has been married to his beloved wife Amy for eleven years and they are the proud parents of Lyla (5) and Levi (4). Pastor Ben and his family have been active members of the Riverview community for the past four years and they are blessed to call Riverview home.
