Biblical Counseling Ministry

Timothy 3:16-17  "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."
We have lay biblical counselors available to meet with you if you are struggling. Please email Pastor Ben for more information.
The Grand Parenting Ministry  provides inspiration, ideas and tools to help you realize your potential to grandparent in a meaningful way.  They have started a new series called Sticky Situations. Stop by the event kiosk and pick up a flyer for more information,  and  to see the upcoming study session dates. For more information, contact Steven Zen.
Six to eight times a year, the Hometown Heroes Ministry delivers baskets filled with homemade treats to local law enforcement firefighters and emergency medical workers to show appreciation for the selfless dedication they provided to keep our community safe. We are always looking for people who would be willing to bake goodies, help assemble, or deliver these baskets. This is a great way to get involved ad show the love of Jesus to our community. If you're interested in participating, contact Cindy Stromsoe.
If you only have time for two activities through Riverview Church, we encourage you to faithfully attend Sunday Worship services and join a Home Group. A Home Group is a weekly gathering of 8-16 people who are committed to building spiritually significant relationships for growth and mutual encouragement within the context of Riverview Church. Groups are available on different days of the week, in various locations around the area. Contact Adam Duroy, our Pastor of Home Groups by  clicking here.
The Life After 55 Ministry is for those 55 and older that want to fellowship through luncheons, events, and outings.  Please visit the Event Kiosk on Sunday to see the  upcoming events.

We pray this ministry will bring renewed hope and faith in Jesus Christ, and help individuals to see God's plan and purpose for this season in their lives. We desire to help in the following areas:

Spiritual & Emotional: Prayer & Encouragement, Fellowship/Outings/Activities, Visits & Phone Calls, Resources/Literature
Service Needs: Home Repairs, Gardening, Driver Services, Auto Repairs/Oil Changes, Meals (as needed)
Financial Needs: Groceries, Medicinal Needs, Financial Planning

This is a great team to join if you would like to bless some very special people in very tangible ways. We hope to lend our hands and our hearts to those within the church and the community who are bereft by the death of a spouse, abandoned, or left alone. If you're interested in joining, contact Allison Larson (760-218-6680) or Dee McReynolds (760-728-1980).
This is a great ministry that reaches out to those who are unable to attend Sunday services due to illness or health issues. This team visits these folks  and spends some time sharing from the word, praying, and partaking in communion together. If you know of someone who might benefit from this ministry or you are interested in getting involved, let us know! Contact Courtney Bankson (619-228-4155) or Deena Rahmeyer (310-697-9590).
