Biblical Victory Plan Pt.3

May 24, 2026    Pastor Mel Svendsen

This powerful message calls us to embrace biblical truth with unwavering confidence in a world filled with deception. Drawing from 1 Peter 5:6-11, we're reminded that spiritual warfare is real and our adversary prowls like a roaring lion seeking to devour us. The sermon challenges us to humble ourselves before God, casting our anxieties on Him because He genuinely cares for us. What stands out is the emphasis on being sober-minded and watchful, not dull to the cultural shifts happening around us. We're encouraged to put on the full armor of God, starting with the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's Word. The message confronts two major battlegrounds where Satan attacks: the exclusivity of Jesus as the only way to salvation, and the authority of Scripture itself. We're reminded that staying silent about Jesus or compromising the gospel to avoid offense is actually the most unloving thing we can do. Like someone watching people float toward Niagara Falls, the most loving act is to warn them of impending danger. This message equips us to stand firm on the truth that Jesus is God in flesh, that the Bible is miraculously preserved and accurate, and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image, not products of random evolution. The call is clear: love people enough to tell them the truth.
