Marriage God's Way! Pt.3
1 Peter 3:1-7 challenges us to reconsider God's original design for marriage in a culture that has distorted His plan. We're reminded that marriage is a total life commitment between two imperfect people empowered by a perfect God. The message centers on the godly relational triangle, where unconditional agape love forms the foundation, friendship love grows through shared experiences, and both spouses draw closer to each other as they draw closer to God. What makes this teaching particularly compelling is its emphasis on the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—as the non-negotiable qualities that must characterize our marriages. We're challenged to examine whether we're truly demonstrating Christ-like sacrificial love, where we see our spouse's needs as more important than our own. The call to husbands is to be servant leaders who nourish and cherish their wives, while wives are encouraged to step in, engage, and support as equal partners in a divine team. This isn't about perfection but about having a humble, teachable heart that says, 'I can do better—starting today.'
